The Lodge At Ashford Castle

Our intimate wedding at the Lodge at Ashford Castle was a truly magical experience, greatly enhanced by the extraordinary staff. My wife, still in a wheelchair due to a broken pelvis, received exceptional care and attention from the hotel staff, ensuring our comfort at every turn. The castle's setting provided the perfect backdrop for our fairy tale wedding. The food was consistently outstanding, offering a diverse selection. Our daughter's severe dairy allergy was handled with utmost care, allowing her to enjoy every meal without concern. Cora and her team's meticulous planning allowed us to immerse ourselves in the joy of the day, free from worries. While many hotels boast beautiful locations and excellent amenities, the Lodge at Ashford Castle stands out for its remarkable staff. They treated us with such warmth and attentiveness; it felt as though we were among good friends. Their exceptional service is what makes this hotel truly unique and ideal for special occasions like weddings. We were so delighted with our experience that we plan to return next year for our first anniversary. A heartfelt thank you to Cora and the entire staff for making our wedding so memorable.

We got married at the Lodge at Ashford Castle this summer and we couldn't recommend it more. Cora, Catarina and the entire team at the Lodge were superb to deal with and their attention to detail was incredible. We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding and day two at the Lodge and it was just perfect and everything we wanted. Our guests commented that the venue was beautiful, the setting was stunning, the food was amazing and the service was second to none. Knowing that our guests had the great experience we did meant so much. We cannot wait to return to the Lodge and couldn't be happier with how our wedding went.

Got engaged recently at ashford castle and stayed at the lodge. This hotel really blew us away. The rooms and location were perfect, food was amazing, staff were all fantastic and so helpful. Special thanks to Theresa, the night manager and Kevin (I think it was) at the breakfast seating, for going above and beyond in making our stay/event as pleasant as possible. First class service and great fun. Also the concierge who kindly modified my booking as I embarrisingly arrived on the wrong day as my booking. Highly recommended The Lodge for any occasion. Plenty of activities around the ground to keep occupied (golf, spa, clay pigeon shooting, falconry, scenic walks) and is also home to Irish chef of the year

We stayed here in October of 2022 as part of a Costco vacation package. The lodge at Ashford castle was excellent!! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was yummy! The property grounds and view are beautiful! You also get access to explore the castle grounds too and/or sign up for activities. We went on a boat trip which was nice. We also watched some people do the falconry. A great place to stay in a beautiful part of Ireland.

You can take for granted how beautiful the Lodge is, every shot is magical and the front view is breathtaking, but the management there are fantastic, AJ ran a very tight show, always friendly, always calm, always in control. As a wedding videographer it makes the day so much better when the venue staff actively help rather than hinder, and the staff were just fantastic, literally looking around the hotel to find me to give me food! That never happens! AJ also organised a sparkler shot with EVERY wedding guest and his staff lit the sparkler in seconds, and always asking me for my input, it was a fantastic experience and AJ deserves huge applause 👏

The Lodge had impeccable service, with a smile, and they truly care about your comfort. The small touches were above and blater. They don't care what your net worth is, what you wear, as long as you're polite - there isn't a thing they won't attempt to do for you. The pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi are a must. Along with dinner and drinks at the castle, a morning walk with the wolfhounds, strolls through the many gardens and hidden trails... this should be on everyone's bucket list. Unbelievable staff is what makes this place what it is. Hospitality management the world over could learn a lot from the Ashford Lodge and the Castle. We will be returning with our family, sooner than later.
